Most OLTP payment environments suffer considerable delay and network overhead from hours-long backups.

The HPE Backup utilities archive whole files to Tape or Virtual Tape, which can take hours.

Unlike HPE Backup, FS Backup detects file data block modifications and saves them to disk, or archives them to HPE Backup, which takes minutes.

FS Restore retrieves the saved file data block modifications from disk ( tape or virtual tape via HPE Restore ) and applies them to recreate the original file contents.

FS Backup and Restore is a complementary product to the HPE NonStop Backup and Restore (including Backup and Restore 2) utility.

FS Backup and Restore complements all NonStop third-party solutions.
